After a month of absence from government activity due to a
medical condition, President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner resumed
public duties with a warning that her administration's economic and
spending policies would not change despite opposition pressure.
After a speech at the Argentine Construction Chamber
following 26 days of public absence, President Cristina Fernández de
Kirchner used her Twitter account to suggest that Federal judge Claudio
Bonadío is a shareholder of a private company which has failed to

Economy minister Axel Kicillof has defended the economic policies of
his department and the administration of Cristina Fernández de
Kirchner, affirming that the government would continue to promote
social inclusion and state intervention in the area.
The US dollar closed up half a cent to 8.535 pesos in Buenos Aires
City banks and foreign exchange offices. Meanwhile, the so called "blue"
dollar fell to 13.35 pesos, and the blue-chip swap rate was one cent
down at 11.97 pesos.
